Corporate Identity and Advertising Standards Manuals for Harris Corporation
Corporate Identity Deciding to change your corporate identity is no easy task and certainly not to be taken lightly. Everything must be considered from broad concepts down to the smallest detail.
Implementing a new identity system and tagline for the Broadcast Communications Division of Harris Corporation was a major undertaking that required great coordination between internal teams and outside vendors. Not only was a broad marketing campaign launched across all divisions internally and externally, but a new logo and tagline was premiered in support of the effort.
It was necessary to have everything from a small business card to a large sign on a building changed all at once on the same day to reveal the new corporate identity. This was done with planned events that showcased the new logo and explained why the change was made. Brand-new materials were handed out and put in use at the same time— in 15 facilities worldwide.
Resulting from the effort, was a corporate-wide synergy in how the company was portrayed. To reinforce this effort, guidelines and style and format protocols were put in place.
