Pug Rescue Society, the organization that helped
them find their current happy humble abode.
would be loved and trained properly... and
would not be passed around anymore.

Soon, their likenesses were displayed on a
custom cake topper to usher in a new era- the
Darr-Tinkle household.  

Both were then
showcased on greeting cards,
moved to a larger home with a bigger fenced
yard, welcomed a new baby boy to the home,
featured in two
LOI International direct mail
campaigns (ongoing), and welcomed another
pug-Benji- to the herd.

Life has been good.  Inky and Sarge have been
very fortunate... but are still hoping for a little bit
of fame!
Much of the Inky and Sarge story will go untold
as they keep it as coded dog language that only
the two of them share with each other.

It is estimated that they were around five years
of age when they were surrendered to the Ohio
Pug Rescue Society in 2000.  These rascally
pugs are brother and sister.  Inky, the female, is
black while Sarge, the male, is fawn. Because
they had not been separated since birth, the
Society wanted to ensure that the two would
stay together.  

They came to live at the Darr household the fall
of that year.  Both dogs were funny and lovable.  
There was only one issue--- house training.  It
took MONTHS and a doggy door out to a newly
fenced yard before the humans and pugs all
came together as one clean, happy family.  Inky
